Project Reef Drive
Pantry Organisation
Torquay, Victoria
A practical pantry reset for a busy Torquay household, designed to make everyday food easier to see, reach and put away.
The existing cabinetry stayed exactly as it was — the focus was on creating better zones, reducing visual clutter and making the storage work harder.

01 / THE BRIEF
A pantry that worked harder
There was plenty of storage, but the pantry had become difficult to navigate as everyday ingredients, snacks, breakfast items and backstock began to overlap.
The goal was a system that looked considered without becoming precious — something the household could realistically maintain after I left.
02 / THE EDIT
Everything given a place
The pantry was emptied and regrouped around how the household actually uses it. Dry goods and baking ingredients were consolidated into clear labelled containers, breakfast items were brought together, snacks were contained, and spreads and oils were grouped onto a turntable for easy access.
Backstock was separated from everyday items so the main shelves stayed easy to read rather than slowly filling up again.

03 / STORAGE SELECTED
Storage with a purpose
Products were chosen to solve specific problems rather than simply fill every shelf. Clear containers made frequently used dry goods easy to see, woven baskets concealed loose packets and backstock, and a bamboo turntable created one easy-to-access home for spreads, oils and condiments.
Selected storage
- Clear airtight pantry containers
- Labelled dry-goods storage
- Woven baskets for packets and backstock
- Bamboo turntable for everyday condiments

04 / THE FINISHED SPACE
Easy to use. Easy to keep that way.
The finished pantry feels calmer, but the bigger change is how quickly everything can now be found and returned. Everyday items have obvious homes, backstock is contained, and the system makes sense without needing to be constantly rearranged.
It’s the kind of organisation I aim for — considered enough to look beautiful, but practical enough to keep working once real life starts again.
